33 soon! – and digital marketing guy by day and writer by night.
2. How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I started on the Lite side Fall 2015…and made the switch to the dark side back in March 2016.
3. Why do you CrossFit?
Initially, it was to prepare for the impending zombie apocalypse. Lately, it adds balance and rhythm to my days – and I love feeling stronger physically and mentally.
4. What is your favorite movement?
Hang snatches
5. What is your least favorite movement?
Ring dips
6. Do you follow a particular diet to fuel your training? Favorite foods?
I think my diet is comparable to Paleo. I steer clear of refined grains, cheese, processed food, most alcohol, sugar, and just about anything with Xanthan Gum listed on the ingredients label. A roasted rack of lamb with cubed butternut squash, mushrooms, spinach/kale, and onions are an idea of an excellent Fridaynight in for me, if we’re being honest. I still miss pizza, though.
7. What are your short-term goals?
To improve my form and be able to lift more and more.
8. What are your long-term goals?
To get into better physical shape – and maintain that. I’d also like to be able to do an actual muscle-up at some point. Probably more push-ups, too.
9. What is your biggest achievement at CFB?
Toes-to-bar – especially since for the longest time, I struggled with knees-to-elbows.
10. If there was a WOD named after you, what would it be?
