Ingredients
Crust:
- 2lb lean, grass-fed ground beef
- 2 eggs
- ½ small brown onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp dried Italian herbs
- Salt and pepper, to season
Suggested Toppings:
- Tomato pizza sauce (no added sugar)
- Fresh basil
- Sundried tomatoes
- Mushrooms
- Red pepper
- Red onion
- Baby spinach
- Olives
- Cheese (optional)
- Pesto
Method
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, add all the crust ingredients and use your hands to combine.
- Line a large baking tray with parchment paper. Place the meat in the middle of the tray and use your hands to flatten the meat evenly and thinly.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, until cooked through. Remove from oven and drain any excess liquid from the pan. Paper towel can help.
- Top your pizza as you like, then return to the oven for 5 minutes until cheese is melted and toppings are hot.
- Serve immediately.
Tip: To test meat for seasoning and herbs, take a teaspoon of the mixture, flatten into a mini burger and cook in a frypan. Adjust seasoning as necessary.
